Hitty doll hand carved Linden wood artist OOAK 6.5 inch antique cotton clothing

Here is my latest Hitty doll.  She is 6.5 inches tall.  I carved her from linden wood and painted her with artist acrylics.  She has traditional brown Hitty sausage curls and blue eyes.  She is simply jointed with two dowels.  She has little black, painted, lace-up boots.  I made her dress and pinafore from antique, 19th century cotton fabric.  The dress is made from a gorgeous antique turkey red print, while the pinafore is made from a quirky antique shirting cotton.  She even has an antique, mother-of-pearl button on the back of her pinafore!  She has a cotton petticoat and pantaloons.  All of her clothes are removeable.  Her face and limbs are antiqued with an artist medium to give her an older look.  I carved this Hitty from some blanks that Janet Cordell prepared for me, so she is very special.  I learned to carve Hitty dolls this year from Janet.  I completed this doll a few days ago and signed the back with my initials and the year.
