Vintage Dolfi NADIA Jointed Wooden 13" Artist Doll Ado Santini Italy c1990

Nadia is a gorgeous 13" jointed wooden doll that was manufactured in Italy by the DOLFI Company of Italy circa 1990-on. She is marked only "Dolfi TM 4-89"  on the back of her neck.  I believe that she was designed
by Ado Santini.  I do not know whether the "4-89" means that she is #4 of an edition of 89 dolls or whether she was hand carved in April 1989.  The "TM" marking  suggests that she may be a first or earlier edition.  I am only conjecturing though.  Please note the beautiful painting of her face and her intricately carved side ponytails with lots of ringlets that are embellished with painted turquoise ribbons. Exquisite! Her painting and her maple wood sustain light wear and imperfections from age, storage, and hand-crafting.
Her original UN-tagged printed dress, pinafore, and pantaloons have been washed in Oxi Clean, though not ironed.  What a beautiful and appealing wooden artist doll Nadia is! She comes without her box and paperwork.
